LOUISE GUBBAY ASSOCIATES LTD
ABOUT LGA AND ITS FOUNDER LOUISE GUBBAY
At the age of 16, Louise started her career working as an office junior for her father, Mr Raymond Gubbay CBE, who is Europe's most successful Classical Concert Promoter. From then on, she worked with English National Ballet, Kilroy TV and The Lyceum Theatre before returning to Raymond Gubbay Ltd Throughout her 17 years in Events Management (which often resulted in working with some highly regarded international artistes) Louise's professionalism was getting her noticed by many. After making an extremely hard decision to leave Raymond Gubbay Ltd, it was clear that timing was right for Louise to start up her own business. LGA was established in 2008 and within the first year, Louise's clients were continually being seen by many of the UK's leading West End Casting Directors including David Grindrod, Pippa Ailion, Debbie O'Brien, Trevor Jackson, Anne Vosser and the Donmar as well as other elite names on the TV/Film side between here in the UK and the US. To date, Louise has had the pleasure of working with the likes of Bill Kenwright Ltd, Hubbards Casting, Jina Jay, Birmingham Rep, Hull Truck Theatre, the NY's Aquila Theatre, English Theatre of Frankfurt to name a small few In 2009, Louise was honoured to become a full member of the Agents Association (London Region) and has been quoted as one of the fastest growing agents in the UK. 2010 was really the start of Louise Gubbay Associates climbing swiftly up the career ladder. From a West End lead, a European lead, invitations to see artists perform abroad and visiting parts of the UK whilst her very talented pop star, Ryan Jagger, was on tour, it was a sure sign of the unbelievable hours Louise works, were paying off and no wonder she was quoted as being the 'Fastest Growing Agent in the UK'. This then followed with quite a bit of media exposure on Louise herself including an interview with Talk Radio Europe, Spain's biggest English speaking radio station, a featured article in 'SUR', Spain's biggest selling English paper and a further radio interview with Heart FM Spain followed by various mentions on BBC London ! At the latter part of 2010, Louise had the great pleasure in signing Oliver Tobias and thereafter signed LA's No.1 celebrity psychic, Christian Dion ! 2011 started as a complete whirlwind of exciting events. Doris Zajer was cast in the 'Diary of Anne Frank' as Mrs Frank, Owen Young returned the US to complete his 'Midsummer Nights Dream' tour for the New York's Aquila Theatre which completed it's run off Broadway. Louise had the honor of seeing his final performance in NY and then accompanied Owen to LA for several wonderful meetings. Christian Dion has much excitement surrounding him and looks set to go global anytime soon - watch this space ! LGA clients are dealt with nothing but the highest level of professionalism. Louise is passionate about what she does and who she represents. She also prides herself on being very approachable and on building strong, positive relationships with all of her clients.
